I'm just back   The ironic thing is,having trawled through a couple of hearts websites over the weekend they were all taking bets on when our new keeper would throw the ball into the net,and yet as it turned out for all he had to do i think i could have went in goals tonight and kept a clean sheet. And as for steve frails "we are better than hibs-we always have been and always will be-it dosen't matter who we buy and sell or who they buy and sell we will always have a better squad than them" all i've got to say is thanks for giving john collins team talk for him. You truly are a ugly ginger buffoon  Oh and by the way GIRFUY

To be fair we are better than Hibs, and we always will be. We were shite last night im not going to deny that one second and Hibs did deserve to win. For us the only positive was Michael Stewart who played superbly IMO. Yes, he did give Collins a team-talk, and he shouldnt have said what he did, albeit true.

If we had actually forced Ma-Kalambay into coming for a deep cross/a bouncing shot I think he would have made a mistake, going on what some Hibs fans have told me anyway.

Anyhoo, Well done Hibs because you did genuinely deserve to win last night, and I think you'll do quite well this season with that squad. However, I think Hearts will be better when we get players back/sign new players.

Right first of all i think we could be here a LONG time debating whos the better team so i'll just move on to the rest of your comments. I'll start with ma-kalambay who in your opinion dosen't look too hot and if put under pressure is prone to making mistakes, well he's only played 7 games for us(so far so good) and who knows he may go on to make mistakes in a hibs jersey, but seeing as he clocked up his sixth clean sheet in a row last night i think hes doing okay so far. Now michael stewart,a player who did'nt quite cut it at man utd(no shame in that) he went to nottingham forest on loan until their manager joe kinnear labelled him a arrogant, argumentative tosser and sent him packing,he then went to hearts where he did'nt quite cut it(you noticing a trend here?) then i was amazed when we signed him and during his 2 years with us whilst certainly not the worst player to pull on the green and white his ratio of one decent game followed by 10 crap ones meant he was'nt exactly missed when he left us. And how did he leave us? did hearts break their transfer record by throwing pots of money at us like the old firm did with brown, thomson, whittaker? Er NO. He was kicked out the club 2 months before the end of the contract by our manager who labelled him a arrogant argumentative tosser(you noticing another trend here?) As for last nights performance, i noticed he was hearts corner taker last night (4 of them went straight into maka's hands and the other was cleared by brian kerr at the near post) and i think his replacements performance kind of put him in the shade. So all i've got to say is that if he is one of hearts bright spots then i think that says more about yous than it does about us.

I'm going on a coach at Hibs telling me he's a poor cross-taker mate, I've only seen him against the JT's.

Do you have any proof whatsoever about Stewart being arrogant at Hibs? Stewarts claims his innocence in the dressing room bust up to this day, and I'm not sure, did Collins ever say plain out that Stewart was the problem? He was our corner kick taker because Kingston and Bruno were out.

I assume you're talking about Kerr with the 'replacement' bit? I honestly thought his footballing performance was only slightly better than Stewarts, but Stewart had more heart than any Hibee on display. Oh, and all I said was he was good on the night, he's not one of our best players by a long shot. You'd have to look at Kingston, Berra, Cesnauksis, Pinilla and Goncalves for that...oh, and notice none of them played against you. I think, had they played, you would have been quite severely owned.

I know hearts had a few players banned/injured and i thought that might give us a chance, but then i thought we've just lost thomson, brown, killen, whittaker, sproule and ..ahem martis(thank you mogga  ) so i think we were pretty evenly matched going into the game in terms of loss of personnel. As for maka most hibbies agree that coming for crosses is one of his strong points. I can recall him dropping the ball at livvy in a pre-season game but he had been clattered by a livvy striker at the time.

ps why would a hibs coach be telling training ground stories to a hearts fan? i can just imagine stevie frail W***ER(sorry i've got keyboard tourettes) telling me about robbie neilsons shortcomings.

I've seen Ma-kalambay in every pre-season game apart from in Austria and only seen him drop the ball once, which he comfortably collected on the second attempt. Once in 5 or 6 games. I can't believe for one second that this is a weakness for him as he seems so comfortable coming for crosses that he could probably catch them with one hand......

Why wouldnt he? He's a youth coach and I dont think there is a confidentiality thing about what happens at training? Thomson and Killen basically left ages ago and , IMO, Sproule was shite every time he played Hearts, so really you were on the same boat.
