This may be the saddest thread I've ever posted but nevermind.

Excuses first - I've been watching it because my mum and girlfriend watch it.

Anyway, what an absolute mess it is. Laura White is an amazing singer and was easily the best singer in the competition. To get voted off just shows that the X Factor is definitely not just a singing competition. Not that we didn't already know that.

Daniel should have gone a long time ago. He should be singing in labour clubs...if he's lucky. Austin wouldn't have gone on to win the competition but it was a hell of a lot better than Daniel. Daniel shouldn't have even made it through the start. He just brings up his wife every week or talks about being unfairly treated which makes people go "awww" or in my case, "grrrrr".

Eoghan Quigg looks like a bloody puffer fish and can't really sing well. He did a decent song last night but he's nowhere near as good as Laura and couldn't sell records.

The finalists should have been Laura, Alexandra and Diana or JLS if you're not into Diana's style.

A couple of weeks ago, the judges described Laura as something special, particularly Simon Cowell who seemed amazed by her. They clearly wanted to get rid of the strongest link to protect their own shite singers.

The phone lines were clearly a fix too. So many people wanted Laura to win. What happened to these people last night? If it wasn't a fix then obviously the media have convinced the stupidly blind British public that Laura's boyfriend has some kind of influence over the votes because he's a floor manager......

Anyway, rant over. I don't usually care but Laura lives about a mile away from me and goes to my university and shops in the same supermarket as me :P. So I feel I have to defend her

Not ashamed to say I watch X factor.

She didn't deserve to go last night.

Daniel should be long gone.

Eoghan is way to young and wouldn't last five minutes in the real world.

Rachel had a superb audition and I thought she may win. But since then she has been probably the worse one apart from Daniel. How she is still there I will never know!

Alexandra will be in the top 3 but don't think she will win.

Diana will get booted of in the next couple of weeks. That cute little girl thing doesn't do it for me.

Ruth is boring, same old every week.

JLS are fresh young and talented and maybe could do something in the music world.


Out of who is left JLS should win it. Not because they have been the best, but because the public voted of the best in Laura. I really thought she would win, by far the best in the competition. Maybe the public didn't like the fact she's dating one of the shows bosses?

As for Louis, he's an idiot. Why didn't he be diplomatic and vote Ruth off then it would have gone down to the public vote.

In truth it's anyones as I wouldn't like to second guess who the public like and dislike anymore.

What's annoying is, all her boyfriend does is sort out the audiences. He's not even a key figure.

Rachel was poor again last night. Her tears kept her in. I'd usually say someone crying after a poor song was attention seeking but it looked genuine to be honest. She shouldn't be in though. I do think she has potential...more than she's showing but not enough to win the competition.

Diana does sound a bit like a dying cat and they do go for the cute look but I've got used to it.

I thought the same as you about Louis. I really expected him to wake it to deadlock then my heart sank when he said he was going to keep the fighter.

Before the media found out Laura had a boyfriend who worked for X Factor, she was already getting criticism for having singing lessons when she was younger. I think all the criticism was completely unfair as she wasn't only the best singer in the competition, she came across as the nicest girl.

Well if we are giving a full comment to the shows events.

Laura shouldnt have gone at all, she should and most probably would have been in the final.

I dont think playing the piano helped her, as it weakened her vocals for the Mariah Carey song.

As for Daniel, i still cant understand why he even got to the final, he needs to go and as does Rachel, she can not sing at all.

I hope Diana recovers 100% and is back next week, i'm glad she wasnt kicked out of the show as i think she can walk this show.

JLS are her main rival in my opinion, they are young and fresh. quality singers. definately have a boys II men feel to them.

Alexandra up there as well, but she is too much like Leona Lewis, and i think near to the end the judges might not put her through for maybe that reason.

As for the judges being so shit this time round, it actually annoys me. X factor is a singer show. Aim is to give them a record deal and produce some singles and an album. So when they comment about appearance and anything other than theyre singing just annoys me.

I think the whole thing with Diana was a bit dodgy too. She would never have been able to sing a Mariah song and she's a judges favourite. She was shown screaming "toffee apple" at a bonfire on Wednesday night. It's possible that she got a bit of a bad throat from that which was for some reason diagnosed as laryngitis. I shouldn't speculate though as I don't know the truth.

I thought Alexandra was poor yesterday too. The judges gave her a standing ovation and said it was her best performance. I completely disagree.

Laura asking to play the piano wasn't a wise move. I thought she should have really gone for it with a powerful song but she chose the soft option and it didn't suit her. I was hoping she'd make up for it in her play off song but she made the same mistake again. She still wasn't the worst though. Just a bit misguided I think.

I agree with what has been said already. It was a shocking decision by Louis to send home Laura, he knew that she was heavy favourite to win and would prove the biggest opposition to his own act (JLS) winning the show. The voting is like the Eurovision these days, they are all voting to spite the other judges but it is understandable that they would back their own acts. Anyone would.

Saying that all the last 3 knockout votes have went to Louis, they should really mix it up a bit more,

I'm glad that Diana didn't get removed from the competition, she could really be the dark horse in this years competition. Out of the remaining acts it is appaling that Daniel has managed to get so far even though his performances are nowhere near the standards as the other finalists. Rachel will be out within the next 2 shows IMO (Daniel followed by her).

JLS are my pick to win even though I am disliking Louis' attitude this year.

The X Factor is quite a good television programme to be fair to the people who make it. I do enjoy it personally and was happy to hear that the Hero cover song sold so well for the Poppy Appeal.

I only watch the X Factor for the auditions, after that it just gets plain boring. I just think all the girls tend to sound the same, i watched it the other week and that Diana is really annoying, i just want to chop her hand off!
